The Extension Master GardenerSM (EMG) program was created to increase NC State Extension’s capacity to provide information on establishing and maintaining gardens, lawns, landscapes, and houseplants in ways that protect health and natural resources. NC State faculty and staff train Master Gardener volunteersSM (MGVs) to be effective community educators providing unbiased, research-based, environmentally sound information about growing lawns, fruits, vegetables, trees, and ornamentals.

Master Gardener volunteers will be available during the Mount Airy Blooms Garden Tour to answer your gardening questions. They will also provide educational exhibits or demonstrations sharing the latest research-based information for the home gardener.
